  • For delicate or decorative backdrops, hanging decorations, and garlands, backdrop frames / arches work best.
  • The advantage of a backdrop frame / arch, over a stand, is that they are typically decorative in nature, e.g gold metal or wood, with more discrete legs / base plates.
  • This means you don’t have to hide it with additional decorations; the frame /arch itself becomes part of—and adds to—the display.
  • Part of the charm of a backdrop frame / arch is that you can also just dress sections of it, such as the corners, leaving some of the frame exposed, which means you can use less decorations.
  • Alternatively, you can drape and swag fabric from the frame, rather than hanging a flat panel-style backdrop that fills the entire width.
  • Another advantage of a frame or arch is that it allows you to showcase any natural backgrounds, scenes, or views (such as ocean, beach, or gardens) behind the frame without eclipsing them.
  • Alternatively, some shaped backdrop frames, such as round and hexagon, have a range of fabric slip covers available (see below) to help you create a panel effect.
