Choose color and quantity (most come as 8/9 ft long x 3 ft wide sections)
Some have peel and stick adhesive strips which use very strong adhesive that may damage walls
I recommend using damage-free hooks / adhesive strips or hanging from a backdrop stand

ADVICE FROM A PRO

Matt’s tip

“These look best when hung with a little distance between the fringe curtain and the wall behind. Otherwise it hangs very flat, the wall shows through, and it highlights all the gaps between strips.

With space between the wall and the curtain, it creates more of a fluid, rippling curtain effect and adds depth. Fringe decorations just look a bit lifeless when stuck flat to a wall.

That’s why I always prefer to hang from them a backdrop stand. You can pick up a basic stand for around $30-40.

You might also want to consider buying double the amount you need and layering one on top of another. This gives a thicker, fuller look with less bunching and gaps. Check out the images below that show how a single layer can look a bit thin and allows too much background to show through.

Alternatively, hang some simple colored fabric behind the foil curtain to make it look more substantial.

Whether you’re using as a backdrop to a table / bar or to dress walls in a larger room, these look best if you ‘frame’ or ‘blend’ the edges with additional decorations; be it bunches of balloons, balloon garlands, artificial flowers / garlands / vines, or paper flower decorations (check out the links at the end of this post).

This helps soften the harsh side edges—where the backdrop ends and it meets the wall—so it blends into the surrounding decor and doesn’t just look like a flat panel .

Plus they can help hide the legs, sides, and crossbeam if you’re using a backdrop stand or frame.
