ADVICE FROM A PRO

Matt’s tip

“While you can attach to the wall with the horizontal twine (provided) and damage-free adhesive hooks, the wall behind tends to force the paper circles to hang a little more flat, so you loose a little of the three dimensional feel of delicate. floaty, hanging garlands.

If budget permits, hang these from a basic backdrop stand, which you can pick up for around $30-40. This allows the garlands more space to breathe and looks much better.

These paper circle garland backdrops are one of the few types of backdrop where you don’t really need to ‘frame’ or ‘blend’ the edges with additional decorations; such as bunches of balloons, balloon garlands, paper flowers, or artificial flowers / garlands / vines.

That said, they do also look good surrounded by a balloon garland, as you can see in the yellow/red/orange example above, which can also be useful to hide the legs and crossbeam of a backdrop stand. Check out my post about balloon garlands here.
