ADVICE FROM A PRO
Matt’s tip
“I’ve seen some negative reviews saying the damage-free removable hooks can still rip paint off the wall, but I’ve never had that problem and suspect those reviewers just ripped them off without following the instructions in this video.
If you can’t find a single dowel rod long enough for the width of your backdrop, e.g 8 ft+, you can always pick up several shorter ones and make up the total width by hanging more hooks.
If you have a backdrop that comes with it’s own hanging string, I’d recommend hanging it from several hooks all along the width of the backdrop. If you just hang it from a hook at each end (and maybe one in the middle), it will sag.
I’d also recommend dressing the top of your backdrop with balloons, a balloon garland, artificial flowers / garlands / vines, or paper flower decorations (check out the links at the end of this post) to help hide the dowel rod / hooks.
Alternatively, check out my other post here about Command ceiling hooks, which might be more suited to fabric backdrops with grommets and more delicate / decorative hanging decorations, like garlands and paper decorations, where a dowel rod might ruin the look.”
