For backdrops without grommets or a pole pocket, such as tapestries, attach to the stand using these backdrop stand clamps to reduce sagging and bunching

the details

Some backdrops, including tapestries, don’t have grommets or pole pockets so require clamps to attach
The inexpensive backdrop stand from my previous post come with 2 clamps
I recommend using at least 4 along the top to prevent sagging so suggest buying extra
Additional clamps only work out approx $1 each

the why

Secure; easily clips tapestries and other backdrops with no grommets or pole pockets to a stand
Sagging; helps backdrop hang straight and flat to reduce sagging and bunching
Puckering; grips the backdrop firmly to help reduce puckering, creases, or wrinkles
Damage-free; protects the backdrop from holes, tears, and snags caused by hanging with hooks, pins, ties, and tape
Moveable; allows you to play around to get the perfect height and position for your backdrop

ADVICE FROM A PRO

Matt’s tip

“I often see backdrops attached with these clips left standing upwards, so they’re visible.

For a cleaner, more professional look, pay attention to detail and simply fold the backdrop over the bar and clamp from below.

This way, the clamps are pointing down and hidden behind.

You can also hide them by dressing the edges of your backdrop with additional decorations, such as bunches of balloons, balloon garlands, artificial flowers / garlands / vines, or paper flower decorations (check out the links at the end of this post).“
