the idea

Celebrate your relationship by turning the places, dates, and milestones of your story together into one illustrated map.

the how

Format. Digital-only. You receive a high-resolution file to print yourself (see links in Matt’s Tip section below for an easy online printer that will print and ship it to you).
Personalization. Give the seller your key locations (where you met, first date, engagement, wedding, home), important dates, and any pets, kids, or shared rituals you want included.
Style. Most are black-and-white illustrated line art; some sellers offer a fully colored version, or a doodle style built around a central photo of the two of you.
Size and scope. Priced by how many locations or illustrations you include, typically from a handful up to 20.
Process. After ordering, you’ll get a form or message request for your details. The seller sends a draft to approve, then makes revisions before sending the final file.
Lead time. 4 to 14 business days depending on seller and tier. Rush upgrades are available with some sellers.

“On first glance, this might seem like just a gift for couples and their anniversaries, but it works just as well for a family’s journey or a long friendship.

While you’ll want to include obvious milestones and locations, I think these maps feel far more special when you include some smaller memories, details, or ‘occasions’ that were meaningful to you both, but might not be considered big life moments. For example:

The road trip to Vegas where the car broke down.
The first time you cooked your famous Coca Cola Chicken.
The infamous tartan couch we bought then hated.

Although this is sold as a digital artwork, if you want to make things easier for yourself, simply email the finished artwork to this online printer. They can print up to 2ft x 3ft as a premium art print (rolled up), mounted onto foam board, or as a canvas which they’ll then ship to you.
