Matt’s tip
“Banners hung directly onto walls look best if you ‘frame’ them with some additional decorations, such as bunches of balloons, at each end.
This helps to blend the harsh edges where the banner ends and it creates a larger display. Otherwise banners used as backdrops can look too small and get a bit lost if just hung on a wall surrounded by a lots of empty space.
Also, if using as a backdrop for a dessert / buffet table or bar, line the wall behind the banner with an inexpensive foil curtain, paper garlands, or streamer backdrop first so it will stand out against a colorful background and look more substantial (see my Dessert Table Backdrops page for more ideas like this).
If you need to transfer old printed photos to a digital format, this can be done very inexpensively nowadays ($20-$30 for 100 photos, link below) so it’s a great opportunity to preserve them for years to come.
Similarly, old photos that are fading, discolored, or damaged can often be restored at the same time (see link below).”
