Mason Jars

“In addition to being more durable than disposable plastic appetizer cups, mason jars come in larger sizes so you can serve more substantial portions.

They also come with lids, which can be useful for outdoor events, transporting to venues, or just keeping food fresher for longer so you can make it in advance.

Check out my Pinterest board Party Food: Serve in Jars for more sweet and savory food ideas to serve in mason jars.

To reduce lines at the buffet table, make these ‘grab & go’ by serving with a disposable wood or plastic spoon or fork (see links below) tied to the jar with ribbon or twine.

Remember to order the right size spoon / fork depending on the size of your jars. As a guide, 8 oz mason jars are typically around 4″ tall, but it depends on the shape, so check. Mini spoons and forks are typically around 4″ and regular spoons / forks are around 6″.

To personalize, add a custom sticker (links below) or use personalized disposable spoons / forks printed with your event name (see links below).

These look best when arranged in rows on square / rectangular premium disposable plates or on tiered stands / risers. See links below for both.

Of course, one of the main advantages of mason jars is that they can be washed and re-used for future events.
