“If you intend to frame it after the party, choose your frame first and have the printable template enlarged and printed to the appropriate size. Otherwise, you might print the template out at a non-standard size that might be awkward to frame.

Alternatively, choose one of the templates that comes with a custom frame.

Lay the frame flat on a table at the party, with the poster in front of the glass, to prevent guests pressing the pen through the paper when signing. Then move it behind the glass after the party to present it as a keepsake gift.

Alternatively, choose a design that comes printed onto foam board and display it upright on an easel or tabletop at the party.

Avoid printing on gloss paper as this will cause the pen to smudge. Opt for a premium cardstock with a matte finish for plain design templates or semi-gloss / satin / luster if your chosen template has metallic tones.

A fine point Sharpie or ballpoint pen works best for signing.
