Choose ready-made fringe streamers, 6ft long x 6.5 inch wide (as shown in the pics below)
Alternatively, make your own 8ft long x 10 inch wide (as shown in the gold and white examples above by Susan at Fleurishing Blog)
To make your own, buy crepe paper rolls (see below) and follow the tutorial here to fringe edges with scissors
Hang from ceiling using damage-free adhesive hooks tape

“When choosing colors, I think an ombré effect works best i.e, the blending of one color hue to another e.g, dark blue, light blue, and white.

Alternatively, choose three complimentary colors.

If you’re using as a backdrop to a dessert / buffet table or bar, these look best if you ‘frame’ or ‘blend’ the edges with additional decorations; be it bunches of balloons, balloon garlands, paper flowers, or artificial flowers / garlands / vines (check out the links at the end of this post).

This helps soften the harsh side edges—where the backdrop ends and it meets the wall—so it blends into the surrounding decor and doesn’t just look like a panel on the wall.

Plus they can help hide the legs, sides, and crossbeam if you’re using a backdrop stand or frame.
